Meet Your Teacher!
Hi, I'm Matt! 👋
I'm an electronic music maker and educator from Australia, and one of only 400 Ableton Certified Trainers in the world.

I make music and put out fun and unique educational videos on YouTube under the moniker of Martiln (the name came from my first ever Dungeons & Dragons character!).
After over 4 years of teaching and developing music production courses and subjects at various universities in my home city of Melbourne, I put together this course because I wanted a one-stop-shop for students to learn music production in a structured, comprehensive and fun way.
This course is designed so that you will gain a clear understanding of the fundamentals of music production that you can apply to any style of music and any Digital Audio Workstation. It just so happens that I think Ableton Live is one of the best DAWs for learning these concepts!

If you're a complete beginner looking to dive into the world of music production, someone who's coming back to music after a hiatus, moving over to Ableton Live from another DAW or you simply want a refresher on the fundamentals, then this course is for you!

I'm looking forward to being your guide on this learning journey. 😊
